Bala Yesu CBSE School

The school is blessed to have Bala Yesu as its patron, inspiring the vision and values of the institution. This patronage reflects the school’s deep commitment to nurturing every child with love, care, and moral guidance, embracing virtues such as compassion, humility, and service. Bala Yesu’s example of boundless love and kindness resonates with people of all faiths, guiding students to grow not only in knowledge and skills but also in heart and character. The presence of the patron inspires an environment of spiritual reflection, respect for all, and the pursuit of goodness, shaping students into responsible, empathetic, and ethically grounded citizens.

The history of Bala Yesu CBSE School, Raichur is deeply rooted in the long-standing educational mission of the Bellary Diocese Board of Education (BDBE), registered society under the Mysore Societies Act No. 17 of 1960 (Registration No. 10/71–72). The Diocese has been serving the educational needs of North Karnataka for several decades through its network of over 20 educational institutions, with a strong commitment to value-based and inclusive education.

The educational journey of the campus began in 1991 with the establishment of the Infant Jesus Group of Institutions, beginning with a State Board school, founded through the visionary efforts of Fr. Antony Puthenkalam and Fr. Sebastian Kulathinal. Their mission was to provide accessible and quality education rooted in moral and spiritual values, especially for the children of the region. Infant Jesus School laid a strong foundation of discipline, academic commitment, and community trust, and continues to be an important part of the campus legacy.

Responding to the growing demand for CBSE education and national-level academic standards, Bala Yesu CBSE School was established in 2009. Bala Yesu CBSE School was founded under the leadership of Fr. Thomas Michael, with the vision of extending the Diocese’s educational mission by offering a curriculum aligned with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi, while upholding the core values on which the institution was founded.

The name “Bala Yesu” draws inspiration from the Gospel message, “Let the children come to me and do not stop them, because the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these” (Mt. 19:13–14), symbolizing love, care, and respect for children. Over the years, Bala Yesu CBSE School has grown steadily, combining academic excellence with holistic development.

Today, the school proudly carries forward the legacy of its founders and leaders, continuing its mission to nurture students into academically competent, morally upright, and socially responsible citizens through quality CBSE education.

The emblem of Bala Yesu CBSE School reflects the institution’s commitment to education, values, and holistic development. The circular form of the logo symbolizes unity, continuity, and inclusiveness, representing the school’s service to students from diverse backgrounds.

At the centre is a shield, signifying care, protection, and a secure learning environment for every child. The Cross represents moral guidance and the values that inspire the school’s educational mission. The open book stands for knowledge and learning, while the lamp with flame symbolizes enlightenment, truth, and wisdom. The ink pot and pen highlight discipline, creativity, and the importance of expression and learning through effort.

The laurel branches denote growth, achievement, and excellence. The motto, “Nobility in Thought, Word & Action,” expresses the school’s philosophy of shaping students to think positively, speak responsibly, and act with integrity. Together, the elements of the emblem represent Bala Yesu CBSE School’s dedication to nurturing responsible, value-based learners.
